Dresser Rand is a leading supplier of steam turbines for FPSO
facilities around the world.
The company has extensive experience in manufacturing steam turbine generator sets for installation on FPSOs. These sets have to incorporate features that enable them to operate reliably in a floating environment where they will be subject to severe environmental conditions.
A key feature of turbo-generator sets for FPSO vessels is that as well as meeting the exacting requirements of the oil industry equipment must also meet the requirements of marine classification society rules e.g. Lloyds, DNV, and ABS.
