Dresser-Rand's
Engineered Equipment Coatings, were developed primarily for
protecting rotating and stationary components that are subject to corrosion. The coating
system consist of a multi-layer metallic, ceramic system that provides a galvanic sacrificial base
that acts as a second line of defense to protect equipment from corrosive attack. The base coating is
sealed with either the C1 or S3 top coat that provides a first line of
defense in
severe operating environments. This multi-layer combination extends the operating life
of unit components and increases online availability. The coatings
smooth, finished surface
also reduces the ability of water treatment additives and other foulants to adhere to
component surfaces.
Applications
EEC-C1 or S3 is designed for application on
steam turbine or compressor components to provide protection in harsh operating
environments with an operating range of 3-9 pH.
All coating applications are reviewed by Dresser-Rand's
engineering personnel
for applicability
to the design and service conditions of the unit.
