Dresser-Rand Announces 2003
Product Training Programs
To
continue meeting the needs of its clients worldwide, Dresser-Rand
is offering a comprehensive schedule of product training programs
for operations and maintenance personnel for 2003. For more than
30 years, D-R has offered a wide range of operation and
maintenance programs to help reduce their clients’ equipment
maintenance costs and ensure reliability for all product lines.
Areas of concentration for the courses include steam turbines,
reciprocating process gas / high speed separable compressors,
integral gas engines, turbomachinery and centrifugal products, and
control systems. The courses target operators, mechanics,
supervisors, and engineers with emphasis on the practical aspects
of machine reliability, repair and troubleshooting.
Instructor-led courses are offered at D-R manufacturing
facilities in upstate New York, and at company training centers in
Le Havre, France, and Wythenshawe, U.K. For client convenience,
these programs also are conducted at D-R regional service centers
throughout North America and Canada, and at client-selected sites.
Hands-on, interactive courses are conducted at locations
throughout North America, as well as the Dresser-Rand
training facility in Wythenshawe, U.K.
In addition to scheduled classes, customized, machine-specific
programs can be arranged. "If there is a group of people to
be trained from a particular facility, we can research the
equipment records and provide a program that’s specific to that
machinery," said Lee Golder, manager, Product Training at
Dresser-Rand. "Our instructors can travel to your site,
conduct the training program, and keep client travel costs to a
minimum." Also, hands-on programs can be customized for a
client’s specific needs. "Our hands-on equipment is easy to
off-load and can be shipped anywhere in continental North
America."
"Students can register for the courses months ahead of the
scheduled date," Golder said, "and can register for any
of the programs by phone, fax, or on our web site." In the
United States, credit card payment is accepted. To view the
