During the past several years, Dresser-Rand has monitored the
durability of installed DuraWear parts through extensive
field-testing in a variety of gas applications and discharge
pressures. (See Figure 4.) These data exhibit running times that
far exceed previous performance.
"Materials
available today are far superior to those commonplace just a few
years ago," said Derek Woollatt, principal engineer at
Dresser-Rand.
"The laboratory and field tests prove we’ve made great
strides in identifying new materials and engineering parts that
are much more reliable."
Parts are available for applications with any gas with
temperatures ranging from cryogenic to more than 300 degrees
Fahrenheit (149 degrees Celsius), and pressures ranging from
vacuum to more than 8,000 psi (560 kg/cm2).
There When You Need Them
For operators of reciprocating compressors, the lack of
available replacement parts can translate into hundreds of
thousands of dollars in lost production and wasted downtime.
Dresser-Rand is prepared to provide competitive, responsive
support 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a worldwide
network of strategically located sales offices, service centers,
warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Quality DuraWear
performance parts are manufactured in both North America and
Europe.
"Our clients can’t afford to sacrifice on reliable
delivery," Williams said. "We can now meet their needs
anywhere in the world, and help them minimize downtime."
For each application, Dresser-Rand selects replacement parts to
ensure top performance and durability. As one of the largest and
most experienced original equipment manufacturers, the company is
able to specify and select the most advanced parts from all of the
leading component specialists. DuraWear performance parts are the
same warranted components used on new D-R equipment.
"We’re committed to providing effective, innovative
solutions," said Williams. "And quality, replacement
performance parts are what our clients expect. With DuraWear, we
can now be the single source they need to keep their equipment
running efficiently, for maximum service life and minimum
maintenance."
