Dresser-Rand
And ChevronTexaco Enter Preferred-Supplier Agreement
Dresser-Rand has entered into a
worldwide agreement to be ChevronTexaco’s preferred supplier of
turbo compressors, API-618 reciprocating compressors in the U.S.,
and aftermarket services for ChevronTexaco’s installed base.

client," said Vince Volpe, president of Dresser-Rand.
"When an industry leader such as ChevronTexaco spends a year
assessing potential suppliers in the selection process, it’s
solid evidence that our products and services meet high
standards."
ChevronTexaco’s assessment focused on three key areas of
competence: technical (such as development of Dresser-Rand’s
DATUM® centrifugal compressors), commercial (including supply
chain management, on-time delivery, and cost control), and support
(the ability to provide parts and service to keep equipment on
line).

these areas," said Helmut Porkert, chief procurement officer
of ChevronTexaco. "Using these important competencies as a
foundation, we hope to build a strong relationship with D-R, one
that will help us meet new challenges with new solutions."
