Dresser-Rand recently
released its new compressor selection and performance program D-R SIZE 2009 (V6.2). You will find
a number of added features and functionality in this release. As always,
our intent with D-R SIZE is to give our clients an added tool to allow
them to be part of the solution.
D-R SIZE is a powerful program designed for the
selection and application of reciprocating compressors for gas field
service. Program features include:
- integrated sizing and performance sub-menus
- new output formatting
- introducing a new case controller module (allows multiple package
configuration per application)
- improved curve plotting routine
- packager and user databases
- multiple gas combinations (for use with sidestreams)
- interactive P & ID diagram
- ability to size compressor by required flow or driver power
- complete database of the current Dresser-Rand compressors and a database of previously marketed compressors (for performance
prediction of older installed compressors)
- program predicts the best frame and associated cylinders for
specified conditions of service
